Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the data controller’s possession or likely to come into such possession. Our website address is: https://www.mecfsselfhelpguru.com. Julie Holliday (The ME/CFS Self-Help Guru) is the data controller. That means she decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it:
If you leave a comment on the site, I ask for your name, email (which is not displayed on the site) and website (if you’ve got one) This information is used so other visitors will know who left the comment. The website also collects the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
The information collected via the form (name, email and message) simply allows me to reply to you and answer any questions.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you use the contact form or the arrange an appointment form your data will be kept for as long as necessary to answer questions and complete any services engaged (see terms and conditions).
